In the Mood for Neutrals

Normally I like color, and lots of it. Maybe its the fall settling in, but I've been craving a bit more of a neutral pallet. I think I'm going to try to "neutralize" my bedroom. I've had lots of ideas on what to do in there, but I've decided to keep an all white fluffy bed, keep to browns, tans, creams, grays, with a hint of color here and there. These neutral designs have been giving me some inspiration.

  1. Great idea. I love it how the shades, materials, and textures give the room a personality, even void of "colors".

  2. I love all of these pictures. I would love to do a mural like the one in the PB baby room. Just gorgeous! Anyway, I wanted to answer your question about my paint sprayer. I have a Graco 7.0 HVLP sprayer. They are expensive (about $900), but if you do a lot of furniture (like I do) it is well worth it. There is only air in the lines, so you only have to clean out the gun. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and gives professional results. It took my furniture painting to an entirely differnt level and it saves me tons of time. Hope that helps!

  3. When we moved into this house 2 years ago. We did neutral everywhere. I had moved from a house with yellows and deep reds and lots of color everywhere. I choose to go neutral and I love it. It is refreshing and airy and relaxing. And I can add of a pop of color anywhere and it just feels right. The bedroom is a great place to start! You will love the way it relaxes you and you can always change the sheets, pillow, lampshades if you crave color! Good luck with the new re-do.
