My first Mood Board...

I've been sick in bed lately and sleeping the days away. My drug of choice lately has been NyQuil and lots of it, therefore my sleep pattern is pretty messed up. Yesterday I slept super late, napped in between, and couldn't get to sleep at night til after 3am! Dang you NyQuil... but oh how I love you. I'm starting to feel a bit better.

With all this extra time at night, I had the computer all to myself. (We have one computer and it is Ryans work- lap top, so he takes it with him during the day. I'm left computer-less until the evening.) So from after Law & Order til about 2 am I decided I was going to try and get a mini lesson in Photoshop and Illustrator. Ryan gave me a lot of good pointers, poor guy had to put up with my technological impatience. Sometimes I just want to throw the computer. Why don't they make these things more user friendly? Or maybe I'm just a little slow, very plausible.

It took me waaaaayyy too long, but I created my first Mood Board! I've always wanted to do one of these, but always got stuck. With Ryan's help in the beginning I got the basics down. When it was all said and done, I was so proud that I had finally done it!

So without further adieu, I introduce you to my first Mood Board (can you hear the drum roll?)....

  1. for your first mood board, I'm impressed! I love it! I especially love the chair from Target... it's so bold, but you could pair it with so many different things!

  2. This looks like great fun!! I'll have to give it a try sometime...but I hope I can e-mail YOU if I can't figure it out!

pst...hop over and check out our first ever linky party, bring some ideas for clever ways to display and serve superbowl snacks!!

  3. No way could I figure out how to do this so quickly, even with expert help. Then again, you have skilz. I patted myself on the back for putting up the world's smallest shelf today, so I am not you. But I'm going to be trying to take baby steps over the next few months, so I'll keep checking in for inspiration!

  4. Oooh this is great Karli, the coffee table is fab. I LOVE moodboards. I usually get crafty with magazine cuttings, scissors and glue to make them, but experiemented using the collage feature picnik.com when I helped my friend create one - I'll drop you an email with it.

  5. Super cute!! I love that rug! Wanted to tell you I started a new blog thats specifically for my furniture and DIY projects. Check it out...I've got a few new Before and Afters that are cool. :)

  6. Wow, your mood board is great. You have some really wonderful things on it. I am especially drawn to the bird prints. I have looked at your site many times and will use some of your ideas in my home. Thanks for the inspiration!
